Jenna Fischer is best known for playing Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television show The Office, for which she received an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress and two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance from the Ensemble Comedy.
Her mother, Anne played in plays at church while she was a kid and instilled a passion of performance and theater in Jenna. Jenna grew up watching her mother Anne performing in church plays. This instilled in her a love for theatre.
Following the conclusion of The Office, Fischer, who is a trained actress in the theater, went back to her origins. She starred as Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy. She went on to star at the premiere world-wide of Steve Martin's newest production Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show at Old Globe Theatre. The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer launched Office Ladies, a podcast that airs on Earwolf in October 2019. The podcast has been a huge success, reaching its Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads in its initial two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year in January 2021.
She's written two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide in which she describes her experience in Hollywood acting as a professional and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends who Were There, a memoir of the best relationship they shared and their time watching The Office.
